For the dinner table

The khateeb encouraged us to return to Surat al-Kahf each week and look for lessons that speak to our lives. Through the story of Dhul Qarnayn, he described a good leader as someone who serves Allah and helps people without seeking praise. He reminded us that building a caring community takes our own effort and participation. In his symbolic reading of the barrier, strong community life and good leadership help protect people and guide their energy. He encouraged us to respond thoughtfully when we feel angry or afraid, and he closed by asking Allah for guidance, protection, and clearer understanding.
