Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“when it comes to spending you are not extravagant and you are not stingy”
“but the ummah of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam they look at the prophet as a shaheed as witness as a guide as a leader as somebody love and respect but not beyond this”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Allah calls Muslims to be a wasat community: balanced, upright, and among the best of people. The khutbah explains that good qualities stand between two harmful extremes, such as courage between cowardice and recklessness, or generosity between wastefulness and stinginess. This honor is also a responsibility, because Muslims are meant to witness to the truth and serve their faith. We should respect and follow the Prophet without worshipping him. The prayer asks Allah to help us fulfill this trust.
