For the dinner table

Imam Abdul Aziz reminded us that Muslims do not wait for one holiday to be thankful; every day can be a day of gratitude to Allah. We should notice both obvious and hidden blessings, from health and strength to the ability to walk, speak, worship, and help others. Gratitude grows when we acknowledge that blessings come from Allah, use them to serve Allah and His creation, and recognize that even the ability to give thanks is another gift. Remembering Allah can steady us when fear or worry takes over, so we should practice thankfulness in prayer and throughout our daily lives.
