For the dinner table

Allah has blessed our community with a new masjid, but the khateeb reminded us that a building is only the body; the people and their unity are its soul. We should treat the masjid as a refuge for spiritual nourishment, returning for prayer and quiet time. A healthy community welcomes people, listens before judging, and allows respectful disagreement in the search for truth. Love for Allah, the Prophet, and one another should move us to obedience and useful action. We should protect this unity and pray for sincere beginnings and endings, healing, the people of Gaza, the deceased, and the coming of Ramadan.
