For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah hears our duas, even when the answer does not look the way we hoped. He explained that Allah may answer quickly, save the reward for the hereafter, or avert harm through our dua. He encouraged us to keep asking because dua is worship and a way to stay connected to Allah. We should also do our best through action, while trusting Allah with the outcome. Finishing well matters, and working hard should go together with getting sleep and keeping our prayers. As we look back on the year, we can appreciate our progress, recognize where we need to grow, and choose small good habits to build.

  1. What is something you want to ask Allah for today?
  2. What is one step you could take alongside your dua this week?
  3. What are you proud of from this year, and what good habit would you like to practice next?
