For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that faith should move us toward courage, compassion, and service. The disciples of Jesus stood ready to help, and Prophet Musa helped others even while he was exiled and struggling himself. The story of giving water to a thirsty dog reminds us that one small act of mercy can have great value with Allah. We are encouraged to notice people around us, offer help, remember Allah, and respond to suffering with prayer and meaningful action.

  1. Who around us might need a small act of kindness this week?
  2. What does it mean to be a helper when we have problems of our own?
  3. How can we turn concern into action instead of just watching or scrolling?
