Let the Quran guide your life

In one sentence

The khutbah argues that entering Surah al-Baqarah should renew Muslims’ humble submission to Allah and reconnect them to the Qur’an as guidance, knowledge, moral renewal, and practical direction.

The khutbah in 6 steps

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah explored lessons from the opening of Surah Al-Baqarah. The khateeb reminded us to trust Allah even when we do not fully understand the wisdom behind a command. He described the Qur’an as guidance for our lives and encouraged us to keep studying and put what we learn into practice. He also challenged us to use our time, knowledge, and skills to help solve problems in our communities. As a family, we can choose one small lesson to practice this week and ask Allah to help us act sincerely.

  1. What is one lesson from the Qur’an you could practice this week?
  2. What skill would you like to learn that could help other people?
  3. How could we make learning the Qur’an together part of our family routine?
