Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that time passes quickly and encouraged us to think about how we use the life Allah has given us. He explained that blessing in our time includes the good we accomplish, and he pointed to the Prophet’s routine of worship, serving people, and spending time with family. As Ramadan approached, he urged everyone to prepare their hearts and character instead of relying only on new-year resolutions. Small, consistent steps, such as praying on time and reading a little Quran each day, can help us grow closer to Allah. He also reminded us that dua does not need perfect words: we can speak to Allah in our own language and trust that He knows what is in our hearts.

  1. What is one thing you did today that made good use of the time Allah gave you?
  2. What small act of worship could we help each other practise regularly before Ramadan?
  3. What would you like to talk to Allah about in your own words?
