For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us to seek blessing in our time by starting early, avoiding unnecessary arguments, and remembering Allah throughout the day. The khateeb encouraged us to care for family relationships and show gratitude to Allah and the people around us through our actions, including keeping our commitments. He also spoke about reading the Quran, especially Surat al-Baqarah, and spending time with people who inspire us to do good. Looking at the mosque's fifty-year legacy, he urged the community to build on the work of its elders through education, scholarship, community engagement, and programs led by young people. He asked us to imagine a future where we can give more generously, supporting students and others in need, both Muslim and non-Muslim.
