For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that iman, our faith, needs care and renewal. He shared stories of the companions whose trust in Allah helped them remain firm and care for others during great difficulty. Drawing on Aisha’s account, he explained that learning about Allah and the Hereafter strengthened their hearts and prepared them to accept His commands. He encouraged us to help our children build a connection with Allah through love, reverence, and trust. As that connection grows, prayer and other everyday acts of obedience can become easier and more enjoyable.

  1. What is something about Allah that helps you feel love or trust in Him?
  2. How can our family help each other look forward to prayer?
  3. What did you learn from Abdullah asking for the other prisoners to be freed too?
