For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that being Muslim is one of Allah’s greatest gifts, so we should not hide our faith or feel ashamed of it. He used Umar ibn al-Khattab’s humble journey to Bayt al-Maqdis to teach that true honor comes from Islam, not wealth or status. We can be kind and respectful to non-Muslims while keeping our deepest loyalty to Allah and the Muslim community. The khutbah emphasized protecting innocent life, following the Quran and Sunnah, and looking beyond this short life to the Hereafter. This week, our family can pray, worship, attend the halaqah, and let our faith show through good character.

  1. What is one part of being Muslim that makes you grateful or proud?
  2. How can we show kindness to someone while staying true to our faith?
  3. What is one Quran or Sunnah practice our family can strengthen this week?
