For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that the Hereafter is real and should guide what we value now. The speaker told of Abu Dahta, who gave away his property so an orphan could receive one tree, because he trusted the promised reward in Jannah. His wife accepted the trade and helped the family leave, showing that faith can shape a whole household. We may not understand every hardship or part of Allah’s plan, but we can trust that every injustice will be set right. Since our deeds and legacy accompany us, we should live with generosity, purpose, and preparation for the next life.

  1. What is one possession or comfort you could use to help someone this week?
