For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that we can grow closer to Allah by avoiding what He has forbidden and doing as much good as we can. He explained that turning away from haram is itself an act of worship, even when nobody sees our effort. He encouraged us to remember Jannah and shared examples of prophets trusting Allah through frightening and difficult moments. Summer can include rest and enjoyment while we continue our prayers and keep working on our faith. His invitation was for each of us to choose one step toward Allah and stick with it, trusting in His help.
