The khutbah teaches that the evidence for Allah is close to us in creation and within our natural inclination to seek a higher power. The speaker says doubts can happen, even to believers, and that refusing to voice harmful whispers can itself reflect faith. Surah al-Ikhlas helps us remember who Allah is: One, self-sufficient, and unlike anything else. We are encouraged to recite it regularly and think about its meaning. The khutbah also reminds us to explain faith simply and patiently to others.

  1. What part of creation most reminds you of Allah’s power?
  2. How can we respond when a troubling question or doubt comes to mind?
  3. What does Surah al-Ikhlas teach us about Allah?
