Today’s khutbah used the story of Musa to show that we should turn to Allah in every circumstance. Even while Musa was frightened and in need, he helped others and trusted Allah with his future. The speaker encouraged us to make supplication for our families and the hereafter, while praising Allah and sending blessings on the Prophet. We were also reminded that our income and food should come from lawful sources. A sincere prayer should be joined with service, humility, and honest living.
