For the dinner table

The khateeb described seven groups of people whom Allah will give shade on the Day of Qiyamah. These include people who act justly toward those in their care, young people who grow up worshipping Allah, and people whose hearts are attached to the masjid. He also spoke about loving others for Allah’s sake, resisting temptation out of fear of Allah, remembering Allah alone with tears, and giving charity sincerely and privately. He reminded parents to help children build good habits early and explained that caring for the masjid’s needs can be part of loving it. His closing encouragement was to work on bringing these qualities into our lives, even if we begin with just one.

  2. What could our family do to help care for the masjid?
  3. What good deed could you do quietly without looking for praise?
