For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah used the story of Yusuf to show how powerful people can shape false narratives, reduce a person’s worth, and punish truth. It called Muslims to speak for themselves, remember the liberation-centered spirit of the Quran, and protect unity across sectarian differences. The imam urged us to reconnect with our tradition, seek knowledge that improves character, serve our communities, and let go of pride in comfort or status. He ended by asking Allah to help oppressed people everywhere and to make us people who support the oppressed.
