For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us to do good in this world while making the hereafter our priority. Enjoying entertainment, dressing nicely, and earning money can be permissible, but they become a problem when they pull us away from remembering and obeying Allah. He compared this life's attractions to a plant that grows and then fades, reminding us that the hereafter lasts forever. He encouraged us to put our energy into prayer, charity, and helping our community, and pointed to the faith and patience of people in Gaza as a reminder. Even when our efforts seem small, we should keep helping and trust Allah to bring blessing to what we do.
