For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that life is a test and that faith and obedience shape our final destination. The speaker encouraged us to keep our hearts attached to Jannah while practicing purity, prayer, charity, patience, Qur’an, and sincere deeds. He explained that the Prophet’s life is the living example of the Qur’an, so learning his seerah helps us love him and follow him. Umar’s response showed that faith grows when the Prophet becomes more beloved than our own selves. As a family, we can choose one small practice and learn one new detail about the Prophet’s life.

  1. What is one worldly distraction you would like to manage better?
  2. What small deed can you do sincerely this week?
  3. What would you like to learn about the Prophet’s life?
