For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that we enter Jannah through Allah’s mercy, and that our worship and good deeds put us on a path to receiving that mercy. He encouraged us to be gentle and caring toward others, including our neighbors and animals. He also urged us to help people resolve disagreements and repair their relationships. Asking Allah for forgiveness and turning back to Him should be a regular part of our lives. Finally, he reminded us to practice patience when obeying Allah feels difficult, when resisting forbidden things, and when life brings challenges.
