The khateeb taught that Muslims should neither ignore death nor become fatalistic about it. We fear death mainly because we may be unprepared, so we should live each day ready to meet Allah, keep our obligations in order, and follow the Prophet’s way. He reminded us that our way of living shapes how we die and are resurrected. Stories of Umar and other righteous people showed serious accountability alongside hope in Allah’s mercy. The message is not to seek death, but to make our daily lives worthy of a good ending.
