For the dinner table

Eid is a day of joy, but it can also bring sadness that Ramadan has ended and regret over what we did not do. The imam reminds us that Allah’s mercy and love continue in every month, and that gratitude is shown through worship and actions, not words alone. We should notice blessings such as life, safety, family, our senses, and guidance, while remembering families in Gaza who are suffering. On Eid, we should set aside grudges, spend meaningful time with family and children, and include converts and people who are alone, widowed, or separated. The day becomes more beautiful when our celebration turns into compassion, welcome, and ongoing closeness to Allah.

  1. What is one blessing you want to notice and thank Allah for today?
  2. Who could we invite, call, or include so they do not spend Eid alone?
  3. What action can our family take this week to keep Ramadan’s closeness alive?
