True victory means salvation and Paradise

“Whoever is pushed away from hellfire and enter Jannah then truly he is the successful one.”

The khateeb, at 33:03

In one sentence

True victory (al-nasr) is not winning a soccer match but building a stronger relationship with Allah through preparation, collective ummah work, patient acceptance of defeat, and gratitude, with ultimate success measured only by salvation from Hellfire and entry into Paradise.

For the dinner table

The khateeb used soccer to remind us that real victory is more than winning a game; it is growing closer to Allah. He stressed that victory requires preparation, disciplined effort, and teamwork in our families, masjids, and wider ummah. When we face defeat or disappointment, we should learn from our mistakes, remain steady, and surrender to Allah’s decree. When blessings come, we should thank Allah instead of taking all the credit. Ultimately, true success is being kept away from Hellfire and admitted to Jannah.
