For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that dua is a direct, special way to speak with Allah. Like Zakariya, we can come to Allah honestly, admitting our weakness and asking with humility, even when our request seems impossible. We should notice Allah’s blessings, turn to Him after worship and in difficult moments, and speak in the language that lets our heart be sincere. The goal is to build a close connection with Allah at night and throughout the day.

  1. When do you feel most ready to speak honestly with Allah?
  2. How can someone else’s blessing remind us to make dua?
  3. What is one need you could bring to Allah this week?
