For the dinner table

The khateeb encouraged us to keep our connection with the Qur'an growing after Ramadan through regular personal study. Alongside reciting it, we can read in a language we understand and pause over even one verse to consider its message. He reminded us that learning should lead to action, so what we understand should shape how we live. Using Al-Fatiha, he invited us to reflect on Allah as our creator, sustainer, and controller of the universe, and on why we praise Him. He also reminded us that Allah is full of compassion and mercy, inviting us to love Him and come closer to Him. As a family, we can make room for questions and seek help from knowledgeable people when we need guidance.

  1. What is one question you would like to explore about Al-Fatiha?
  2. What helps you remember Allah's mercy when you feel worried or make a mistake?
