For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that becoming people of the Quran is a way to grow closer to Allah. He encouraged everyone to memorize what they can, recite daily, listen with attention, learn the meanings, and put those teachings into practice. Small steps matter, and struggling to read is an effort that Allah rewards. When children see their parents learning and trying, that example can help a love of the Quran grow at home. He also encouraged the six fasts of Shawwal and continued voluntary fasting, explaining how fasting builds awareness of Allah and self-control. His message was to carry our good habits beyond Ramadan and keep the Quran close throughout the year.

  1. Which ayah would you like us to learn together, and what makes you curious about it?
  2. How could we make our home a welcoming place to practice Quran, even when we make mistakes?
  3. What good habit from Ramadan would you like our family to keep doing?
