For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that painful news does not mean Allah has abandoned us. The speaker said hardship is part of life, but Allah promises ease and asks us to notice signs of hope, including growing Muslim communities and people standing for freedom and justice. He urged us to learn about suffering, speak for truth, participate responsibly in civic life, and support our masjid and community organizations. He also asked each of us to find one missing act of worship, such as praying on time, making dua, fasting, or paying zakat, and add it to our lives.

  1. What is one hopeful sign you notice even when the news feels heavy?
  2. Which call could our family practice this month: learning, participating, or supporting an institution?
  3. What is one act of worship or kindness you want to strengthen this week?
