For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that some small-looking deeds can bring forgiveness and Allah’s love. These include coming to the masjid, staying after prayer for remembrance, completing wudu even when it is difficult, feeding people in need, speaking kindly, and praying at night. The Prophet’s dua asks for help doing good, love for the poor, mercy, and deeds that bring us close to Allah. We were encouraged to study this teaching, practice it consistently, and serve the community through cleaning and food distribution.

  1. Which of these six deeds could our family practice this week?
  2. How can we speak more kindly when we disagree?
  3. Who could we help with food or another needed service?
