For the dinner table

The khutbah begins with a recent community death and reminds us that no one knows when death will come. It says Allah created us to worship Him, so we should not postpone repentance, charity, or other good deeds. Because time and health are limited, we should examine ourselves regularly and live each day ready to meet Allah. The speaker suggests setting aside a monthly or quarterly day for focused prayer, Qur’an recitation, dhikr, and other worship. Worldly life is temporary, so our deepest hope should be Allah’s pleasure and the Hereafter.

  3. How can our family make time for more focused worship together?
