Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“none of you unless he will speak to Allah and Allah will talk to him”
“You will be reading your book for everything you have done. You will read it and you will see it documented.”
“The purpose of this Jum'ah when I finish, all of us will ask the same question.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us that the Day of Judgment is real, even though it is part of the unseen. Allah will weigh our deeds and question people directly, but His justice is complete and His mercy can cover sins He has concealed and chosen to forgive. The Prophet’s community has a responsibility to know the truth and bear witness to it. We should prepare by learning what we will be asked and practicing honest answers through our choices now. The sermon also reminded us to care for sick and elderly people.
- What is one small action you would want recorded as a good deed?
- What question about Islam would you like to learn the answer to?
- How can our family care for someone who is sick or elderly?
