For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that people still face the same spiritual choices across time: following Allah or being distracted by Shaytan and the world. We should ask Allah for guidance often, recite the Qur’an, understand it, and apply it. When we make mistakes, the greatest danger is refusing to repent, so we should turn back to Allah quickly. We should honor our parents and relatives, and use our bodies for worship and good deeds. Parents can make their greatest investment by helping their children learn and live the deen.

  1. What is one good deed you want your hands or feet to help you do this week?
  2. What is one way our family can show more respect to parents and relatives?
  3. What could we invest in for our family besides money?
