For the dinner table

Today the khateeb reminded us that gathering for Jumu’ah is a blessing, made easier by the sacrifices of people before us. He described Allah as the One who creates, nourishes, cares for, and sustains us, and reminded us that we can turn directly to Him. He encouraged us to recognize earlier communities of faith and learn from the good that others do. He urged us to read the Quran and let its guidance shape our choices through sincere effort. As a family, we can carry that message into the week by thanking Allah, practicing what we learn, and becoming more helpful to others.

  1. What blessing did you notice today, and how could you show gratitude for it?
  2. Who has shown you a good example that you would like to follow?
  3. What is one choice this week that you want the Quran’s guidance to help you with?
