For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that remembering Allah includes the good things we do each day. The khateeb encouraged us to keep family ties, seek Islamic knowledge, and give charity through simple actions such as greeting people and removing harm from a pathway. He also encouraged prayer and du'a, especially asking Allah while in sujud. He described Allah’s pleasure when a servant repents and explained that sincere repentance means stopping the wrong, feeling remorse, resolving not to return to it, and returning anything taken from someone. This week, we can bring more remembrance of Allah into our home by choosing good actions and sincerely turning back to Him when we make mistakes.
