Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah taught us about the Ansar, the people of Madinah who welcomed the Prophet and the Muhajirin. They shared what they had, put others’ needs before their own, and showed that strong communities are built through brotherhood and generosity. We were reminded to love and respect the Companions, teach their sacrifices to our children, and give from what we value. The sermon also encouraged families to learn important parts of nikah, talaq, and Hajj through beneficial mosque programs.
- Which quality of the Ansar would make our family stronger?
- What could we teach younger children about the Companions?
