Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb used the expedition of Tabuk to help us think about how we respond when serving our community is difficult. He described people with responsibilities at home, people who wanted to help but lacked resources, people who delayed, and people who discouraged others through criticism. He reminded us that even tears and sincere efforts can matter to Allah when we cannot do more. He also encouraged us to reflect on how we face trials and how we honor the Prophet in our homes. He ended by calling for generosity toward Qur'an learning at the masjid and support for people in Gaza.
