For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Islam teaches us to honor human life, protect our ability to think clearly, and respect people’s freedom to worship. Allah has given us blessings such as family, community, food, and shelter, which we can enjoy with gratitude and moderation. We should stand with people who suffer injustice, whatever their faith. Speaking about Syria, he shared his happiness for innocent people released from prison and families reunited, while acknowledging that he did not fully understand what was happening. He encouraged us to hold firmly to our principles, avoid speaking too quickly about things we do not know, and pray for peace, clarity, and an end to oppression.
