For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah’s promises are true, beginning with the story of Musa’s mother trusting Him through a frightening moment. The khateeb explained four promises: Allah increases those who are grateful, remembers those who remember Him, gives a good life to those who believe and do good, and responds to those who call upon Him. We can show gratitude in our hearts, with our words, and by using our blessings for His sake. A good life includes guidance, contentment, peace, and patience through hardship. Allah invites us to make dua, so we should turn to Him with hope and focus on living out what He asks of us.
