Today we heard that true happiness is not mainly measured by money, status, or possessions. The khateeb taught that a good life comes from believing in Allah and doing righteous deeds with sincere intentions that follow the Quran and Sunnah. Hayatan Tayyiba includes halal provision, health, shelter, and contentment with what Allah gives us. We can celebrate every chance to serve, worship, help a neighbor, or care for family. The khutbah also reminded us to thank Allah and pray for relief and rebuilding for Syria, Palestine, and people suffering everywhere.
