For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that Allah wants us to return to Jannah, but each person chooses whether to accept that path. The Prophet's guidance is meant to pull us away from the Fire, so loving Allah is shown by following the Prophet. We were urged to compare what we hear with the Qur'an and Sunnah and not let arguments or excuses consume our limited time. The closing invitation was to hold firmly to these two guides until we meet Allah. The sermon ended with prayers for forgiveness, the oppressed, parents, strength in Ramadan, and Paradise.

  1. What is one choice this week that could bring you closer to Jannah?
  2. What is a good use of time that we sometimes lose to arguments or distractions?
  3. How can we check whether something is truly part of the Prophet's teachings?
