For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah loves deeds we keep doing, even when they are small. We should first protect the obligatory prayers, then add manageable voluntary worship such as regular night prayer, fasting, charity, or repentance. Consistency brings Allah’s love, protection, forgiveness, and help in resisting sin. If illness, travel, or sleep prevents a habit we truly maintained, Allah can still grant its reward, so we should keep our intention alive and return to the deed.

  1. What is one small act of worship our family could practice consistently this week?
  2. How can we protect the five daily prayers while adding optional acts?
  3. What should we do when sickness, travel, or tiredness interrupts a good habit?
