For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that our life is an amanah, or trust, from Allah. On the Day of Judgment, we will answer for how we spent our life and youth, where our wealth came from, where it went, and whether we practiced what we learned. We can prepare now by taking honest account of our time, money, and actions. Even one Sunnah or lesson can become meaningful when we put it into practice. We should also pray for people facing war, famine, and hardship around the world.

  1. What is one good habit you could use your time or energy for this week?
  2. What is one thing you learned recently that you can put into practice?
  3. How can our family treat our time, money, and bodies as trusts from Allah?
