Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that gratitude begins with recognizing that everything we have comes from Allah. Through the story of three men who received health and wealth, the khateeb showed how gratitude can lead us to share our blessings. He connected thankfulness to Allah with kindness toward our parents, especially remembering the hardships mothers bear while caring for their children. He encouraged us to speak gently, help at home, and look at our own behavior before judging anyone else. We can keep expressing gratitude through prayer and dua for our parents, and after they pass away, through good deeds and kindness toward their friends.
