For the dinner table

The khateeb taught that Islam is not only a set of rituals; it trains our beliefs, worship, and character. Prayer, fasting, Hajj, and Ramadan teach us to obey Allah on a schedule and bring that discipline into work, money, health, and family life. We were reminded not to let wealth or busyness crowd out remembrance, and to balance the rights of Allah, our bodies, and our families. The sermon encouraged planning, seeking wise consultation, making sincere intentions for year-round worship, and spending time teaching children faith and good character. It closed with prayers, a shahada, and reminders about caring for the community.

  1. Who is someone wise and trustworthy we can ask for advice when making an important decision?
  2. How can our family make more time for worship, rest, and one another?
