The khutbah reminded us that a strong family is an amanah from Allah and that every family member carries responsibility for its care. Parents should nurture their children’s faith, teach them the Qur’an, and give religious growth the same attention they give school and other achievements. Husbands and wives will sometimes disagree, but they should seek Allah’s protection, resist destructive thoughts, and respond with patience and gentleness. The khateeb encouraged spouses to focus on each other’s good qualities, show appreciation, and protect their private lives from the harms of careless social-media use. A loving home supports children, strengthens society, and helps the whole family seek goodness in this life and the hereafter.
