For the dinner table

Shaykh Sulaiman Moola reminded us that our deepest happiness should come from growing closer to Allah, not from praise, money, or worldly wins. We should still work, earn, and care for our families, but we should not let material success or loss control our hearts. He encouraged us to notice spiritual progress through prayer, charity, repentance, and serving our parents. The story of Umar at Hudaybiyyah showed how seriously the companions took their mistakes and how they turned regret into worship. We should do our best, accept Allah's decree, and keep choosing actions that benefit our Hereafter.

  1. When have you felt happiest because of a spiritual accomplishment rather than something you owned or achieved?
  2. What is one way our family can show parents appreciation this week?
  3. How can we handle disappointment while still trusting Allah's decree?
