For the dinner table

The imam reminded us that we can draw closer to Allah every day, without waiting for Ramadan. He shared different opportunities for good, including prayer, charity, remembering Allah, and removing something harmful from a path. He encouraged us to keep up worship that Allah has made easy for us and follow the Prophet’s balanced example. He also reminded us that our prayers and fasting must be accompanied by good character, because hurting others has serious consequences. As a family, we can prepare for Ramadan now by choosing a steady good habit, speaking kindly, welcoming people at the masjid, and learning more about how to worship Allah.

  1. What small good deed could you start today and keep doing?
  2. How could you help someone visiting our masjid feel welcome?
  3. What is one thing about worship you would like us to learn together?
