For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah continued a series about purification, focusing on wudu as both bodily cleanliness and preparation for prayer. The imam reviewed the Quranic and Prophetic way to make wudu, including saying Bismillah, beginning on the right, washing carefully, and wiping the head and ears. He reminded us that the Prophet used very little water, so we should avoid waste. He also taught concessions for wiping over certain head coverings and socks when worn in a state of wudu, while acknowledging differences among schools. Finally, he asked us to straighten the prayer rows and invited the community to support the madrasa graduations and make du'a for students.
