For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah focused on the young believers in Surah Al-Kahf who held on to their faith when their society pressured them to give it up. The khateeb reminded young people that Allah sees their struggles and that they are not alone when faith feels difficult at school or online. The youth of the cave turned to Allah for mercy and guidance, and their story encourages us to make dua when we feel uncertain. They also supported one another, reminding us to choose good friends and be good friends ourselves. Our own spiritual refuge can be a place for prayer at home, time at the masjid, or a caring circle that helps us grow in faith and good character.
