For the dinner table

The khutbah asks us to aim higher than finishing school, earning money, and caring only for our own households. Our real ambition should be to please Allah and help the Ummah, especially people suffering in Gaza and other places. Wealth is allowed, but it should stay in our hands rather than control our hearts. We can serve with money, time, health, skills, social media, prayer, and practical help, while choosing friends who encourage good. Parents are urged to raise children not only for careers, but to become people who make a difference.
