For the dinner table

Shaykh Zahir reminded us that Jumu'ah is a special day Allah has honored, when we gather to worship, listen, and remember the next life. He encouraged us to arrive early for the khutbah and put away phones, conversations, and everyday worries so we can give it our attention. He asked us to listen as though the reminder has something for us personally, and to carry what we learn into our actions. He also explained that bathing, clean clothes, and good hygiene help us honor the people around us, including our families. Friday is a time to make du'a and send more blessings upon the Prophet, and an opportunity to give our best to worship while we have it.
